Aster's second horror movie met those sky Dragon The couples that slay together stay together shirt high expectations, although Midsommar was a vastly different visual experience than its predecessor. The movie follows a couple (Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor) who travel to a commune in Sweden for a special festival. Things soon go very awry, and the couple's relationship issues are exacerbated by the strange and terrifying festival. It's a sensory experience, and provides something unique to the horror movie genre by having so much light present. It just beats out the likes of Us by being able to keep the story relatively contained, and for having a cleaner ending.

The sky was quite beautiful before dawn. Sometimes, the early risers would shine the light and shine from all directions, forming a special sight. Sometimes, the moon and the stars hung high in the sky. It is the most beautiful sky, so pure and clean, having no impurity at all. In the following years, I have not seen such pure sky any more. This group of people were quite common, but they were so pure and honest. It seemed to be in their hearts there was a lamp up the way of their progress. Their steps were steady and animated and they were happy. I could not understand this kind of mentality at that time. I could not help feeling excited. Never did I dream that I could welcome the Lord's return in my generation. My child-like dream would come true. I'm looking forward to seeing you again and again, I've been in the room happily.
